Christian Cox is the Founder, Creative Director and Master Instructor of AM RADIO. 

Her Pilates journey started young, just after she was scouted by the FORD modeling agency during her Senior year of High School. This resulted in her moving to New York City at the ripe age of 18 where she began her Pilates practice with Romana Kryzanowska (the protege of Joseph Pilates himself and woman who inherited his studio and practice upon his passing). It doesn't get much closer to the real deal than that.

After years of tutelage, training and working for Romana's studio, Christian moved to California. Her reputation as one of the only Classical (Authentic Method) instructors in Los Angeles (at the time) spread quickly, her client list grew to corners globally.

She has proudly taught a wide variety of professional athletes and celebrities such as members of the England and Ireland Rugby Teams, DC United and LA Galaxy Soccer players, Bianca Kajlich (Actress from Rules of Engagement, Bring it On, Dawsons Creek), Brandon Boyd from Incubus, Kurt Suzuki of the Oakland A's Baseball Team, Tennis Player Maria Sharapova, Olympic Gold Medalists in Beach Volley Ball - Misty May and Kerri Walsh, as well as Olympic Silver Medalist Caroline Blackburn.

Although teaching Pilates kept Christian quite busy, her other passion was fashion, having worked so closely with the stylists on film sets and prior modeling experience. She then decided to educate herself even further and studied at the Fashion Institute of Design in Los Angeles part time. Inspired and surrounded by world renowned creatives, she ended up melding the two things she loved the most (active lifestyle and fashion ) and launched a successful, trend setting resort & swimwear brand known as Pacific & Driftwood - aka: PxD. The brand grew to great lengths gracing the pages of VOGUE, ELLE, Cosmo, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues and being held at over 150 stores worldwide to include REVOLVE, Net-a-Porter, Urban Outfitters and more.

The PxD marriage between healthy Pilates body and swimwear eventually came to a bitter-sweet end. Christian moved back to NYC where she decided to keep the ideals of this kind of marriage together and started the design and production of AM RADIO (proudly USA made), but this time launching a true Studio to Street Athleisure-wear brand to hold alongside a Pilates Studio. The first concept of it's kind.

Over 27 years later, Christian has now recently re-located to Austin, TX and has now launched the first location of AM RADIO centrally located near downtown.
